Cybertill and Qube Learning offer free retailer training

EPoS and e-commerce technology company, Cybertill, has partnered with Qube Learning, a government-funded training organisation, to offer free training to Cybertill customers and their employees in the retail sector.

The training is being offered in the fields of Customer Services and Business & Administration, and enables participants to gain a nationally-recognised qualification, NVQ Level 2. Further training in Retail Practices is being planned.

Explains Ian Tomlinson, founder and Managing Director of Cybertill: “When staff become more skilled, their morale improves. This affects their desire and ability to give good customer service, and the business is the winner in terms of sales uplift.”

The majority of training will ‘on-the-job’ and held at the workplace. The approach is flexible and sessions are usually conducted on a one-to-one basis. Visits tend to take place once every 2-3 weeks over a period of 5-8 months, with each lasting 1-3 hours. If an employee needs to be absent from work, the employer receives the wage equivalent for that employee.

Qube Learning operates in four regions: North-West, East Midlands, East of England and London (M25). To qualify for free training, employees must meet certain eligibility criteria relating to age, residence and previous educational achievements. Cybertill is inviting its retailer clients to apply for this benefit.
