CYBERTILL AND BOX TECHNOLOGIES SELECTED FOR
ITV2’S WAGS BOUTIQUE
Total EPoS solution powers celebrity reality TV show
Specialist retail technology company, Cybertill Limited, has revealed that its point-of-sale (EPoS) software is driving the till operations of the two clothing shops set up as part of ITV2’s reality TV show, WAGS Boutique.
The boutiques, ‘Better Half’ and ‘Bows’, located a stone’s throw from London’s Carnaby Street, are now up and running under the management of two teams of wives and girlfriends of celebrity footballers.
Each boutique is equipped with the latest Chip and PIN-compliant, touch-screen tills from J2 Retail Systems and high-speed Epson TM-T88IV thermal receipt printers, all of which have been supplied and installed by distributor Box Technologies.
During the 13-week televised challenge, the two teams will battle it out to net the most business. At the end of the process, the winning team will select a charity to receive the shop’s profits.
Cybertill was selected by Talkback Thames TV, who is funding and producing the series, to supply and train the teams on the software that drives all the point-of-sale functions.
Says Jonathan Furniss, Production Manager at Talkback Thames TV: “Cybertill’s software is intuitive and user-friendly which will help to enable the smooth running of both boutiques. The company’s interest and support in the show is very much appreciated.”
To deliver reliable till performance without the overheads of employing in-house IT staff, Cybertill is providing a high-speed, broadband, managed service directly from the shops into its Glasgow Data Centre.
In addition to managing all the accounting processes generated by the tills, the Cybertill software is giving the WAGs an instant snapshot of how their boutiques are performing. This is helping them to tailor their stock and merchandising to the items that are walking off the rails.
Adds Cybertill’s Managing Director, Ian Tomlinson: “We are delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile cause. Behind the fun of the programmes, the WAGs are competing to raise significant funds for charity. We’re proud to see our software helping them to run great businesses for the next few weeks.”
