The Client – Boarding Edge

Boarding Edge UK, based in Malton, North Yorkshire supplies cutting edge snowboard equipment and clothing to UK and European based customers. They stock leading brands such as Billabong and Oakley which can be purchased at the retail outlet, online or through their phone mail order systems.

Why EPoS?

The Problem

“The main problems we had before using cybertill was the implementation of a full e-commerce website. We always had a web page but it was only an information site and the switch from an information site to a fully integrated website was going to take too long”.

Boarding Edge, alike many retailers, were running a manual system which meant that their point of sale activities ran in total isolation from the websites sales and stock.

They wanted on-line integration with the PoS and the benefits accrued to be delivered as quickly as possible. An e-commerce website guarantees the retailer access to a huge international market 24 hours a day, giving the smaller business an opportunity to compete against larger enterprises, gain better customer information and establish greater client loyalty and satisfaction.

Through integrating the e-commerce website with the EPoS till, it facilitates the streamlining of business processes, dramatically reducing the cost of each sale through the centralized system.
