What is cybertill

cybertill is a powerful but easy-to-use retail software system available as an ASP service, delivered to the retailer over a virtual private network. Our software streamlines and integrates activity across multiple (store, e-commerce and mail order) or single sales channels, whilst overcoming issues of cost, risk and reliability. By providing a snapshot of live performance across several sites, Cybertill enables retailers to actively manage customer relationships with tangible business results.


Will cybertill help reduce my costs

cybertill equips you with the same sophisticated technology that your larger competitors enjoy but without requiring expensive in-house staff and systems. Our software can also increase your gross profit margin by 10-15% and can reduce your stock holding by 15-20%. Our EPoS system has helped our customers save in the region of £6,000-£15,000 per annum.


How many users do you have

We now have in excess of 3,000 users, ranging from single store independents through to international multi-store retailers. In addition to these, our industry partner Fujitsu has now rolled out iRetail to over 2500 locations of their own. Additionally, we run in excess of 400 e-commerce sites for our customers.


How is my data more secure in your data centre than within my own premises

Your data is more secure precisely because it is not held on site. For example, if your store was broken into, or there was a flood, you would not lose anything, and we take all responsibility to update and back up the multi-channel retail system.


Which industry sectors do you operate in

Our main target market is specialist non-food. We have impressive growth in Fashion & Footwear, Furniture, Outdoor and Leisure Retail, Toy and Gift Shops, Visitor Attractions, Sports Stadia and many niche retailers.


How often is the retail system upgraded

The solution is upgraded on a bi-monthly basis to keep you up to date with the latest in retailing requirements. Our development team works with our customers and support staff to plan the development based on incoming queries and market information.


Who are your competitors

cybertill still is a unique offering as a complete retail solution which encompasses EPOS, E-commerce, Mail Order and CRM. We are aware of other EPoS providers but none which offer the same level of functionality within an ASP model.


What if there is a problem with connectivity

With any piece of technology there are potential problems. Although we remove the requirement for a major inhouse IT infrastructure, we do use an ADSL connection to our data centres.  For maximum resilience, we have developed Emergency Till, (which has the same functionality as the till) to ensure continuity in case of any loss of service to the data centre.  Once the connection is established again, transactions are uploaded automatically.


How easy is it to add additional tills and locations as my business expand

Being an ASP solution, it is very easy for us to add additional tills and locations.


Do you have mobile till solutions

Cybertill has a number of mobile solutions. This depends on the type of use, be it for a single day event, a short-term lease on an additional shop.

If you deal with larger retailers, will I get the same service as an independent

Our original vision was to provide solutions for independent retailers that were scalable and offered the power of those employed by larger retailers. All development requests become part of the main cybertill solution., which particularly benefits smaller retailers. We also have dedicated teams for different sectors of retail.


How can I access cybertill anywhere and at anytime

You can work on any aspect of your business from anywhere and at anytime. All you require is a broadband connection and your login and password.


Is cybertill suitable for me, as I have only one store

Yes, very much so. We have many single-store retailers through to multi-location retailers. The system is designed to be scalable, should your retail operations grow into multiple locations.

What is the minimum hardware requirement

The minimum specification is a Windows XP PC with 512mb RAM and an internet connection. A broadband connection can be provided by Cybertill.


Can I use my own hardware

Yes you can.


Is cybertill available on touchscreen monitors

cybertill is compatible with any touchscreen till hardware.


Is our company logo printable on the receipts

If you provide us with the image, our development team can do this for you.


What types of transactions can I perform at point-of-sale

You can carry out the following functions at the till point with our EPoS system:

cybertill is Chip & PIN-accredited, and therefore is suitable for all credit card payments.


How will cybertill improve my customer service

cybertill's integrated CRM module allows you to access your customers' buying histories at the point of sale through all your trading channels. You will be able to review previous purchases, as well as account, gift card and store credit balances, and view real-time stock information. You will be able to schedule store sales in advance and also track which sales have been most successful.


How easy is it to obtain stock reports

it is very easy, our real-time retail management system allows to create reports in your own formats or you can use the template which we provide


Which is the best format to import my existing data into cybertill

The data import is done in a CSV format.


Which format are my reports available in

Your reports are available in CSV formats.


Do I pay for all the features in cybertill, even if I don't use them

You don't have to use all the features of cybertill. The standard features are available for all customers,. If you do not require a particular function, just ignore it! cybertill is a modular software system, thereby giving you the choice to purchase a specific module, should you require.


How quickly can I start running cybertill

Within seven days of your payment being cleared, you should be able to start experiencing the benefits that cybertill can bring to your business.


Training and Support:


Do you have your own EPoS trainers

Cybertill employs dedicated EPoS trainers who are both experienced in retail and in the solution offered.


What training environments are available

Training can be implemented in a number of ways. Currently we offer training at your premises or at Cybertill offices.


What are the hours for your technical support help desk?

Our support team is available from the following hours of service: 07.30am - 10.00pm: Monday - Saturday and 08.00am - 06.30pm: Sunday, 365 days a year.

Do you offer any customised development for my specific requirements

We have a development roadmap which highlights the new functions in retail best practice that we hope to integrate into our retail system. In addition, you can log a requirement which will be analysed and incorporated (subject to status) into the roadmap.
